Denis Barnabas Otim
Project Officer - Denis Barnabas Otim holds a Master in Peace and Governance from Africa University in Zimbabwe and a BA. Hons in Development Studies with specialization in Rural and Regional Development from Gulu University. He joined RLP in May 2011 as Project Officer. Denis was engaged in conflict and peace building work in Uganda with proven experience in the field of research, human rights, social justice and governance. He obtained trainings and skills in Collaborative Problem Based Learning and Conflict Prevention (from Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre) in Accra, Ghana, Peace Support Operations, Conduct of Humanitarian Relief Operations, International Humanitarian Law and the Law of Armed Conflict, Peacekeeping and International Conflict Resolution (from Peace Operations Training Institute) and a certificate in Conflict Analysis from United States Institute of Peace. His research interests are governance, democracy and resource based conflicts.
