3rd December is commemorated worldwide as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote empowerment, inclusion, access, and increase public awareness, acceptance and understanding of people living with disability.

Refugees living with disability together with their families are a very unique group of persons due to the additional burden of discrimination and stigma that they carry as they live in foreign countries.
