The Memorial lecture running by the theme, "Uganda @ 50: The Unfinished Businesses?" was a public discussion featuring Rt. Rev. Nelson Onono-Onweng, former Anglican Bishop, diocese of Northern Uganda and Prof. Morris Ogenga-Latigo, former leader of the opposition in the 8th parliament. It was a precursor to the 3rd Annual Institute for African Transitional Justice (IATJ), another prestigious RLP event.
