H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Visits the RLP exhibition tent in Arua during the centenary celebrations.
TRAVELLING TESTIMONIES is a mobile exhibition about war, peace and reconciliation. It arrived in Arua on 19 April 2014 to collect and showcase materials from a variety of conflicts that occurred in Uganda. On Monday, 21 April 2014, the Refugee Law Project welcomed the president of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to see exhibits from Acholiland, Kasese region and West Nile. This was in celebration of history in West Nile, marking 100 years as part of Uganda. West Nile was originally part of the "Lado Enclave", administered by the Anglo-Egyptian Empire. On 14 August 1894, the area was leased to King Leopold II as part of the Congo Free State. In 1914, on the 21st of April the British made the area of West Nile part of Uganda.
