This short yet powerful documentary on the return and reburial of the remains of the late commander of the Uganda National Liberation Army (UNLA), Lt Gen Bazilio Olara Okello. The late Bazilio died in exile in 1990 and was initially buried in Omdurman, Sudan.  On Saturday 14th February 2015 his remains were repatriated to Uganda and reburied at his ancestral home in Poyamo village, Kal parish in Madi Opei Sub-county, Lamwo District. The ceremony was attended by thousands of people, including government officials, Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), traditional and cultural leaders, politicians, and civil society actors.  The video highlights the importance of memorials in fostering national reconciliation and sustainable peace. The video also captures an appeal to government to consider bringing back the remains of other prominent Ugandan nationals who died and were buried in exile such as former Ugandan president, General Idi Amin Dada.
