2nd Regional Conference on Forced Migration

Refugee Law Project is pleased to announce that its second Regional Conference on Forced Migration, under the theme “Emerging Issues in Securing Refugee-Host Relations in the Great Lakes Region and Horn of Africa”, will be taking place from 21 - 22 November 2018 at Skyz Hotel in Naguru, Kampala.

Supported by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by the Democratic Governance Facility, this conference will explore a number of emerging issues and opportunities related to Uganda’s ongoing quest to be a world-leader in rights-respecting approaches to the management of forced migration flows. The conference is also aimed at sharing experiences and lessons learned on a range of approaches used in responding to situations of conflict-related mass displacement.

Participants will be drawn from government institutions, civil society organisations, cultural institutions, academic institutions, international agencies and development partners.

Please note that, due to limited spaces, this is an INVITATION ONLY conference.

Using our official Twitter handle, @refugeelawproj, we shall be updating you on the Conference in the lead-up and during the event itself using the hashtag #RLPFMC18.
