This poignant and telling docu-drama, conceived and acted by members of the refugee support group "Men of Hope", and based on true stories, captures in five tense, yet humorous minutes, the multiple challenges refugees face while trying to access services in their host country, Uganda. It calls on all of us to reconsider what lies just beneath the visible surface, and to recognize how an apparently simple object, a bench, can come to represent so much suffering.
 
Jacob, a refugee from the D.R. Congo who came to Uganda after armed conflict erupted in his home town, underwent several episodes of physical, psychological and sexual abuse. When he and fellow refugees encountere Afande (a Kiswahili word for Officer in the military and police), they have to deal with) an egotistical and assertive individual. He despises refugee men who have undergone the agony of male rape. Can they take the arrogance, intimidation and derogatory abuse of "Afande”?
